I recently dined at the club with a friend. I had high expections, being a country club. The food was average, and the service was awful. The staff looked like truckstop waitresses, and did not know the first thing about wine service. I would reccomend, an Applebees restaurant over this place.

On a recent golf outing, at council bluffs country club, my experience was awful. The clubhouse smelled of a sewer, the food was cold nad the service was non-existent.

I dont know where these people ate but it couldnt have been our club. I am a member of the club that dines there 2 to 3 times a week and I have to say the food is hands down the best Council Bluffs and surrounding areas have to offer. The menu is diverse, the nightly specials very innovative and creative, the soups are award winners, the holiday brunches and special event wine/gourmet dinners are as top notch high class as any country club in the Omaha metro area. I dont know what truck stop servers look like but I guess you frequently have to dine in a truck stop to know that and I dont dine in those places! The service is outstanding and the clubhouse staff is friendly and attentative.

For the money they charged for the buffet, you would think the food would be hot, fresh and good. But it was terrible!!!! The service was likewise. It took 20 minutes to get a beer. Don't waste your money!
