Sali is a municipality and a harbor with a population of 1200, and the largest tourist settlement on the island of Dugi with a fish-canning factory and a shipyard. It is mentioned as a fishermen settlement in the year 995, which happens to be the oldest record of fishery in Croatia. Its name is derived from the fact that it was once the location of large sultry.
The gothic church of Mary's Ascent dates from the Middle Ages and has traces of walled fencing. A lapidarian with Glagotitic inscriptions is settled around the church. The church of St. Rok is mentioned in the year 1664. The remains of Illyrian citadels are visible on the surrounding hillocks.
The Telascica cove in the southeastern part of the island of Dugi is a protected natural phenomenon. A tourist manifestation by the name "Trka na prstenac" (Ring Race), much like "Sinjska alka" takes place here every year. The peculiar Zminj lake exists only during the winter period and turns into a field for the rest of the year.
